Account Director

We are looking for an exceptional Account Director to take a key position at Big Spaceship.

Strategically minded with strong creative sensibilities and an entrepreneurial spirit, the ideal candidate will take a consultative approach to the account learning every facet of the account itself and the client's business to lead to a large, fluid team across a variety of exciting client initiatives.

This role requires a true leader with experience in entertainment, an innate curiosity of internet culture and the ability to champion Big Spaceship’s work, culture and process.

Role + Responsibilities:

  • Partners closely with senior client contact while maintaining a presence with day-to-day client team
  • Possess the ability to navigate an extremely fast paced and shifting environment to define (and refine) the overall approach for the business
  • Partner closely with VP level and above Strategy and Creative leaders to develop exceptional work
  • Possess the ability to sell advanced, strategic concepts, drive initiatives and the Agency’s values
  • Manage and mentor a talented group of up to four (4) senior account people and assume a leadership role amongst the other disciplines on the business
  • Demonstrate micro and macro knowledge of the client’s business by continuous research of brand, its categories and competitors
  • Oversight of campaign development and management
  • Responsible for the development of the highest quality of creative work by sharing knowledge of the client/business/brand and demonstrating strong creative judgment
  • Ensure smooth running of finances and administrative systems
  • Problem solves day-to-day account issues as needed
  • Look for additional business opportunities for agency and growth opportunities for clients
  • Deep tech and brand experience including, social media, tech development, and video


    • 7 – 10 years as brand steward and business partner to senior-level clients; with at least 3 years within the social media space
    • MUST have Music & Entertainment experience, OR gaming experience. 
    • Experience in delivering/managing integrated social marketing campaigns required
    • Experience working with vp level and c-suit agency team
    • Proven record of driving organic growth
    • Success in presenting strategic solutions and POVs that engage consumers and build brands in digital and social channels
    • Experience managing a large account
    • Innate curiosity and entrepreneurship with the ability to operate both macro and micro – both leading strategies and rolling up your sleeves to get the job done
    • Excellent communication/presentation skills
    • Ability and proven track record in selling cross-disciplinary work
