We are looking for an exceptional Analyst to join our Marketing Intelligence discipline at Big Spaceship. We are a digital agency in Brooklyn that brings together product design, systems creation, brand stories, and social communities to help businesses thrive. We’re also a little weird, extremely collaborative, and sometimes communicate entirely in gifs.


The focus of the role is to provide data analytics support and strategic solutions across all marketing channels - but especially social media - as our clients’ businesses demand. The position works collaboratively with account management, strategy, content and other relevant stakeholders to drive efficiency and integrate data for our clients and around the agency.


Role + Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret data from Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc. and keep up to date on new analytics tools platforms / APIs from emerging social platforms.
  • Assist in developing social/brand audits for our clients and their competitive brands that keep a pulse on emerging trends.
  • Develop and deliver client reports that express insight into the value of the client’s social activity – content interaction, platform analysis, and sentiment.
  • Be an expert in popular/cutting edge social media monitoring tools and popular social media management tools.
  • Analyze website data to understand visitor behavior, bottlenecks, content, etc.
  • Develop measurement plans, methods, goals and KPI’s
  • Demonstrate a strong focus on client satisfaction and delivery
  • Be proactive and innovative with solutions to meet client goals
  • Participate in client meetings and conference calls
  • Stay abreast of latest trends in the industry with constant research
  • Develop and improve processes, policies and procedures


Skills + Experience:

  • 2-4 years experience in analytics and data management
  • Experience in working with advanced social analytics platforms, specifically writing and editing Boolean queries in platforms like Crimson Hexagon, Brandwatch, etc.
  • Experience working with social analytics platforms such as Facebook / Twitter Analytics, Omniture Social, Sprinklr or HootSuite
  • Experience with Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics (Omniture)
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting paid social or display is a plus
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams in high pressure situations
