New Business Coordinator

We are looking for an exceptional New Business Coordinator to take a key position on our new business team at Big Spaceship. Big Spaceship is a digital agency in Brooklyn that brings together product design, brand communications and social content to help businesses thrive. We’re also a little weird, extremely collaborative, and sometimes communicate entirely in gifs. We’re currently growing both sides of our business: social and product and are looking to add support to our New Business team as we engage with new clients.

As a Big Spaceship New Business Coordinator you must be a solution-oriented thinker, understand the depth and breadth of Big Spaceships offering, and be able to support our SVP, Marketing on strategies to meet the agencies digital marketing objectives. You must feel comfortable working with individuals at all levels within our client’s organizations and be able to work across cross-functional teams (Social, Strategy, Design, Analytics and Technology). You must be able to understand marketing planning processes and you must be able to work closely with our Production and PR team to ensure that marketing and pitch deliverables are not only produced well, but exceptional. This role will also be providing thought leadership, partnering with other agency leads, managing and collaborating with social strategy and content personnel, and providing oversight of content development and management. The New Business Coordinator must be both strategic and hands-on, have a strong management sensibility and be 100% committed to delivering fantastic creative ideas and work that stays on-objective to promote the agencies standing within the industry and to current and prospective clients


What we need in you

  • 1-2 years digital marketing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required.
  • Positive and collaborative attitude
  • Eagerness to learn about not only the agency, but also outside industries and businesses.
  • Must be a self-starter and problem solver. You’re going to have real responsibilities here

What you’ll need to do

  • Work in a cross-disciplinary manner with all agency teams.
  • Support in vetting New Business opportunities and managing new relationships.
  • Provide research and insight into existing client brands and prospective client businesses.
  • Support RFI/RFP development.
  • Manages pitch assets and helps prepare pitch team for presentations; including travel coordination.
  • Identify marketing opportunities for the agency; including PR, Events, and Awards.
  • Manage award submissions and development.
  • Support PR team initiatives; liaising with outside agency.
  • Produce internal and industry related marketing events.
  • Oversee the social media channels for the agency.
  • Manage all marketing assets, digital and physical for promotion and backup/redundancy.
